The Pirelli P ZERO WINTER is a performance winter/snow tire designed for premium sports cars, coupes, sedans, and high-performance crossovers and SUVs. It adapts the performance-driven design of the P ZERO family to winter conditions, offering a high-level driving experience in snow, slush, wet conditions, and on cold, clear pavement.
This tire features a performance-tuned winter tread compound molded into an asymmetric pattern. This design is engineered to maintain flexibility and grip in cold temperatures. Deep transversal and shallow-angle channels work with wide circumferential grooves to effectively evacuate water and slush, enhancing braking and traction on snowy surfaces. The inboard tread elements incorporate high-density lateral siping for increased traction on slippery surfaces, along with longitudinal sipes for enhanced lateral stability. The outboard tread elements feature brickwork pattern siping to increase longitudinal and lateral stability by creating more biting edges while maintaining the shape of the contact patch for clear road handling. Two stiff central blocks are designed to ensure high steering response.
The P ZERO WINTER meets the industry's severe snow service requirements and is branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol. It balances the need for winter grip with the performance characteristics expected of the P ZERO line, offering confident handling and control in challenging winter conditions.
