Autódromo Rosamonte

The Autodromo Rosamonte is a 1.53-mile (2.46-km) race track located in Posadas, Misiones, on the northern Argentinian panhandle, between the Paraguayan and Brazilian borders, on a six-hour road trip from Asunción. The Autodromo Rosamonte bears the name of a commercial brand of Yerba Mate, a type of traditional herbal tea considered the national beverage of the southern cone of South America. The layout of the circuit adapts to the natural topography of the terrain, offering challenging ups and downs throughout the track. The climate in Posadas is tropical and humid, with hot summers, mild winters, and considerable rainfall year-round.  

The Autodromo Rosamonte hosts a wide array of motorsports competitions, such as the Argentinian Road Touring Series or Top Race V6, to name a few. Races start/finish at the northern part of the main straight, right before the most technically demanding circuit segment. Two right-hander turns, one and two, lead into a snaking sector consisting of corners alternating between left and right. Only after turn seven, the course gets straight once again for drivers to press the gas pedal on until reaching corners eight and nine, a pair of 90-degree left-handers. The road course ends at full speed, re-entering into the front straight for a final push.
