This video captures a hot lap in a stock 2017 Porsche 718 Cayman (Base) equipped with Dunlop Direzza ZIII tires at Laguna Seca. This was the driver's first time on the track, resulting in a decent initial run.

The driver noted several observations during the lap:

  • Turn 1: Still learning to trust the brakes and stability at speeds over 100 mph, believing the car could push past the second marker. Apex speed was acceptable, gaining some ground on a GT3.
  • Turns 3, 4, & 5: Maintained good lines and speed, but acknowledged the need for smoother transitions to preserve momentum.
