NOVATO
A technical circuit to learn which has a few bumps/dips, along with two chicanes.
The Yokohama AD09 tyres made a huge difference to grip over the continental contact sport 7. After warming up they grip without scrubbing wide like the previous tyres.
The ultra racing lower front brace made the car feel more stable and with added level of grip in corners due to less flex.
For the brakes the Tarox, EBC blue stiff pads and Castrol SRF fluid held up very well with no fade during the day.
Powerflex purple arm bushes I find are a bit soft as it can create secondary movement once you load the car in the corners. So its been hard to be smooth and have full confidence in the front end, even though there is loads of grip. This could be down to the Anti roll bar as its been moving off centre after i fitted the powerflex roll bar bushes. Iv brought some clamps to stop the bar sliding laterally to see if that fixes the issue.
Overall I liked the track. 1min 31 was my fastest time of the day, but with more practice on the chicanes 1 min 25 is for sure achievable. Just need to sort the secondary movement issues with the car before upgrading coilovers.
