The 2021 BMW M3 Competition has proven itself to be not just a hit on the road, but one of the fastest four-door saloons around a track. Having seen off the brilliant Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio in a previous track test, it's now the turn of two of the quickest hot hatches ever produced to try and cause an upset. So can the Honda Civic Type-R's weight advantage, or the Mercedes-AMG A45's four-wheel drive system help it overcome the M3's epic straight six engine around the tight, twisty circuit at Llandow?
