About LapMeta

Why LapMeta?

LapMeta was created to provide performance driving enthusiasts with a dedicated platform to share, compare, and analyze lap videos and the critical data associated with each lap. While wheel-to-wheel racing has its thrills, it’s often inaccessible due to cost and risk. LapMeta offers an alternative for track day enthusiasts who want to share their performance, analyze lap times, and connect with a like-minded community—all while enjoying the safety and accessibility of non-competitive track driving.

help How It Works
After creating an account, users can add their laps by uploading videos to third-party platforms like YouTube and entering related data directly into LapMeta. Each lap is tagged with details like track, car, tire choice, and lap time. The system then automatically pulls in all related information for the car and track, sparing users from redundant data entry. With over 20,000 laps, 500 tracks, and 9,000 cars in the database, LapMeta uses this wealth of data to generate models for car performance by modifications and tire type. The platform captures important variables like modification level and tire type, ensuring accurate performance benchmarks for each configuration. This allows users to turn even an everyday car into a competitive platform when equipped with the right setup.
verified Data Accuracy
LapMeta uses a combination of algorithm, professional, and community QA procedures to ensure lap & associated metadata is accurate. Cars have a designated window of performance that we expect, and when outside of that window we take special care to review the lap times and car data for accuracy. This can get complicated with tracks that have many configurations, making sure the right one is chosen. We also have a tool for any user to flag a lap as potentially inaccurate, which will cause our professional moderators to take a closer look. Also, because every lap has an associated video, it becomes much more difficult to fake lap times. These reasons are why we believe we stand apart from any other lap time resource.

LapMeta’s database enables drivers to explore the expected performance of a car with any given set of modifications and tires. By establishing average lap speeds for different tracks and vehicle setups, LapMeta allows drivers to measure their skill relative to others with similar cars or track conditions. Performance metrics go beyond simple 0-60 times or lap times at a single track, offering a comprehensive view across hundreds of tracks and countless modification levels. Through LapMeta, drivers can find others who share their passion for a particular car model, regardless of location, and connect with those who have honed the best setups to maximize performance. The result is a competitive, vibrant performance driving community that goes beyond the limitations of traditional racing or one-off time attack events.

LapMeta has become an invaluable resource for high-quality performance metrics, covering cars, modifications, and tires. Join us and become part of a global community that redefines what it means to share and improve lap performance data.
