It was a very soggy open lapping day at HPR. This was my fastest lap of the day (chasing a Cayman), at 2:32.296, around 20 seconds (or 15%) off of my fastest dry laps. I have run wet laps before but never repeated sessions. It was great experience adjusting braking, searching for grip, and constantly feeling where the limits were (including a spin in turn 5). The max lateral G's could sustain were around .77 which is just over half of what I can do in dry conditions. I don't have enough wet experience to know how much my tires (Kumho V730s) were holding me back but I bet a set of 300TW summer tires such as the Conti ECS would have been a better choice in these conditions.
