directions_car Stock Class
  • OEM tires must be retained (tires are the key difference between Stock and Light).
  • No mechanical modifications to suspension, brakes, engine, or drivetrain.
  • Alignment adjustments are permitted.
  • Safety equipment allowed: racing seat, harness, harness bar.
build Light Modification Class
  • Non-OEM tires permitted (R-compound, Hoosier slicks, etc.).
  • Aftermarket brake pads and rotors allowed (stock calipers required).
  • Air filter upgrade acceptable.
settings Medium Modification Class
  • Aftermarket suspension systems (coilovers, sway bars, etc.).
  • Full aftermarket brake system (big brake kit with upgraded calipers).
  • Aerodynamic modifications (splitter, wing, diffuser beyond OEM).
  • Engine tuning permitted (stock turbo/supercharger must be retained).
  • Exhaust upgrades (headers, catback, downpipe, etc.).
  • Weight reduction through removal of seats, carpet, and trim.
  • LSD swap or drivetrain upgrades.
  • Air intake system upgrades (cold air intake, intake manifold, throttle body).
  • Suspension geometry components (control arms, camber plates, toe arms).
engineering Heavy Modification / Race Car Class
  • Any car with a full roll cage is automatically classified as a race car.
  • Engine swap or built engine internals.
  • Aftermarket forced induction (turbo/supercharger added or upgraded).
  • Extensive weight reduction or widebody modifications.
  • The car must maintain a recognizable appearance to qualify as that model.

Class Podium Rules

LapMeta establishes fair competition brackets for track day lap competitions using eight distinct achievement categories plus an overall standings category. Podium positions award the top 3 unique drivers per category based on fastest single lap times, excluding flagged or superseded laps. A class must have at least 3 unique drivers before medals are awarded.

UTQG Treadwear Buckets
  • 0-99: Competition slicks / R-compound tires
  • 100-140: Extreme performance street tires
  • 141-200: High performance street (traditional 200tw)
  • 201+: All-season/touring tires
Modification Levels
  • Stock: Factory stock, no modifications
  • Light: Intake, exhaust, alignment, lightweight wheels
  • Medium: Suspension, brakes, some power mods
  • Heavy: Significant power/weight changes, still street-driven
  • Race: Purpose-built track cars, not street legal
Technical Details
  • Price Determination: Uses vehicle instance current value, then base vehicle market value, then original MSRP.
  • Tire Data: Uses vehicle instance front tire, or base vehicle front tire if not specified.
  • Street vs Race: "Street only" categories exclude purpose-built race cars (Radical SR3, Formula cars, sports racers) regardless of modification level.
