Third time attack event with TrackCat!
Last time out, I had car issues and only got one official lap. This time, the car ran great and I pushed harder—nearly beat my PB despite being on street tires (PB was on Toyo RRs). I ran a 1:51.85, just 0.77s off my best. Not even a clean lap, so I think there's more in it.
Upgrades this round: stainless steel brake lines and titanium backing plates. Braking feels more consistent now, though I swapped from DTC60s to PowerStop Track Day pads—so it's consistently... average. Better pads coming next season.
Worked on keeping my hands on the wheel (no shuffling), and it really helped, especially when the rear gets loose. Only issue: high coolant temps late in the day—so cooling upgrades are next.
Next event’s early September. Stay tuned!
