"Great British" event at Assen TT circuit, the Netherlands on August 14th.
First session was too wet to record on tape (in all honesty, instead of having the camera on video mode it was on photo, so I have one photo instead of one video of session one :-(
Session 2 was still very wet with a very slippery track and some oil spils.
Not all spins were caused by oil, being too eager works just as well ;-)
Conclusion after the wet sessions was that the DS2 tyres are much more suited for wet tracks than the DS3 I have on it...
They are nearly impossible to get nowadays, the DS2's.
Luckily, at the end of the day, the sky cleared and the cleaning up of the oil spils delayed our third session.
That meant that the track was completely dry now, making some faster runs possible, just like at Spa. I should have know better though, trying to stay ahead of the pace car....
Another spin was the result. No guts no glory.
Fastest time that day was 2:26.8, fastest in the wet was 2:58.1
