Harry's Lap Timer with 10Hz GPS was indicating that this lap was faster than my personal best from the day before (1:56.98) up until the last few corners. It looks like most of the time was lost before right hand turn 13 on this lap due to braking too early and overslowing. Harry's and the PDR were within 0.02 seconds of each other once I set the finish line to the correct spot on Sunday morning with this lap listed as 1:57.28.

HPDE4 run group 2nd day of the weekend, 1st session of the day at NOLA Motorsports Park 2.75 with NASA on 12/5/2020. Unfortunately it was raining/wet for all of the day's other sessions.

Short shifting to 4th gear before the apex of turn 2 allowed me to stay full throttle through turn 2 without the oversteer I was getting in 3rd gear and gave about +3mph before braking for turn 3. I was trying different lines through the last few turns throughout the weekend but I still need to go back and figure out which one was fastest. I wanted to try both taking a more gradual approach towards the wall through the last turn instead of going wide towards the wall, and short shifting to 3rd gear before turning into the final turn to possibly allow more throttle application sooner but I didn't get the chance due to rainy sessions for the rest of the day. It may be possible to enter turn 8 (fast right hand sweeper before the esses) faster and/or with more throttle % during turn in but I was adding speed very gradually through there. I also may have been able to take more curb at turn 7's apex but recall that may have unsettled the car last year when I tried it.

Unmodified car with traction/stability control fully disabled, OEM Goodyear Supercar 3 tires, track alignment (camber: -2.3° front, -1.4° rear, toe: 0° front, +0.05° rear per side [+0.10° total rear toe]), StopTech STR 600 DOT 4 brake fluid, StopTech Sport Brake Pads (309.14050 front, 309.17180 rear, very similar feel to stock pads but more pedal pressure is required for equivalent braking force which I am still getting used to), GM plastic track brake cooling deflectors. The car is in track mode with touring steering mode. Ambient temperature was about 53°F.
