The SVT Cobra SN95 is a high-performance variant of the Ford Mustang, produced by Ford's Special Vehicle Team (SVT) from 1994 to 1998 as part of the fourth-generation Mustang lineup. It was designed to offer a more refined and capable driving experience compared to the standard Mustang GT.
Initially powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 240 horsepower, the Cobra transitioned to a 4.6-liter DOHC V8 in 1996, delivering 305 horsepower, thanks to Ford's new Modular engine technology. This upgrade improved power delivery and efficiency, setting the Cobra apart as a modern muscle car.
Key features included upgraded suspension for better handling, larger brakes for improved stopping power, and unique exterior styling elements like a distinct grille, badging, and specific wheels. Inside, the Cobra featured premium materials and exclusive trim options, enhancing its appeal as a performance and luxury-oriented Mustang.
The SVT Cobra SN95 is celebrated for blending muscle car performance with everyday usability, solidifying its place as an iconic entry in the Mustang's history.
