The Porsche 997 GT3 R (2010-2011) is a GT3-spec racing car based on the 997 platform. The GT3 R features a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six producing approximately 450 horsepower according to GT3 regulations. Power is delivered through a 6-speed sequential gearbox to the rear wheels. The GT3 R includes comprehensive racing modifications including aluminum tubular space frame, carbon fiber body panels, racing aerodynamics, adjustable suspension, six-piston brake calipers, and FIA safety equipment. Weighing approximately 2,646 pounds, the 997 GT3 R achieved numerous victories in international GT3 championships.
