The Toyota GR Corolla is a high-performance, rally-inspired hot hatch introduced in 2023 as part of Toyota’s Gazoo Racing (GR) lineup. Built on the Corolla platform, the GR Corolla features a 1.6L turbocharged 3-cylinder engine (G16E-GTS), producing 300 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. This powerful, compact engine is paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission and an advanced GR-Four all-wheel-drive system, allowing drivers to adjust torque distribution between the front and rear axles (60:40, 50:50, or 30:70) to suit various driving conditions.
The GR Corolla’s design includes wider fenders, aggressive front and rear bumpers, functional hood vents, and a large rear spoiler, giving it a muscular and aerodynamic profile. It rides on performance-tuned suspension, offering exceptional handling and stability. To enhance stopping power, the car is equipped with ventilated brakes and four-piston calipers in the front.
Inside, the GR Corolla sports a driver-focused interior with supportive sport seats, a digital gauge cluster, and GR-specific styling elements. The infotainment system includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keeping it modern and connected. With its high-output engine, advanced AWD system, and rally heritage, the GR Corolla has quickly gained attention as an enthusiast’s choice, offering a unique blend of power, control, and everyday usability in a compact hatchback.
