NOLA Motorsports Park

The NOLA Motorsports Park is a racing complex located in New Orleans, Louisiana, constructed in 2011 according to plans and designs outlined by the famous South African racetrack architect Alan Wilson. The complex includes a North Track, the largest karting track in the United States, a rally course of three-quarters of a mile, over 12 miles of Off-road trails, and a 7-acres skidpad. New Orleans has hot and rainy summers and very short winters with no snow, with pleasurable temperatures during spring and autumn. It rains a lot in New Orleans, with an average of 60 days of heavy rainfall a year, so racing over a wet surface is quite common here.

The North Track in NOLA Motorsports Park is a customizable FIA Grade 2, 2.75-miles (4.42-km) long road course, featuring 16 turns of varying angles and a 5800 feet front straightaway. The Raceway runs in the clockwise direction, with a first sector of the track, from turns one to seven formed by an intricate collection of tight corners requiring racers to keep both hands on the wheel to keep control of their racecar while hearing the screeching sound of the back tires. From turn 8 to turn 13, the track goes fast until reaching the final S formed by the right-hand turn 14 and the left-hand turn 15. Turn 16 is a continuation of turn 15, taking drivers back to the front straightaway and closing a challenging and fun-to-drive circuit.
