Notes

The Porsche 996.1 GT3 is a gorgeous two-door/rear-engine/rear-wheel-drive sportscar designed by Hans Mezger and assembled in Stuttgart, Germany, from 1995 to 2005. Its engine is known as the Mezger after his designer. It uses a 3.6L naturally aspirated disposition delivering a maximum output power of 360 PS, with 370Nm of torque. The standard 6-speed manual version of the car reaches a top speed of 188 Mph, going from 0-60 Mph in under five seconds. This GT3 model is a racing-oriented beauty made to be a natural champion. Porsche removed items that added unnecessary weight to the vehicle, such as the rear seats, air conditioning, and sunroof, to employ as much power as possible for speed.

This racer packs Pirelli P-Zero 225/40/R18 tires from stock on the front and 285/30/R18 on the back. A lowered re-tuned suspension system supports the chassis, and a set of enlarged high-performance brakes adds the braking power. To increase the downforce and grip of the GT3, it includes a lighter weight wheelset, a redesigned new front bumper, and a prominent rear spoiler. The Porsche 996.1 GT3 is an exceptional head-turner with great design, a true high-performance for speed lovers and racers with a winning spirit.

YEAR NOTES

1999: The 996.1 GT3 was introduced as a high-performance, track-focused variant of the 996-generation 911. It featured a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine derived from the 911 GT1 race car, producing 360 hp and 370 Nm of torque. Paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, it included upgraded suspension, brakes, and lightweight materials. The exterior was distinguished by a fixed rear wing, revised front bumper, and lightweight wheels.
2000: No significant mechanical changes were made, but Porsche offered new customization options, including interior trim upgrades and special-order paint colors.
2001: Final production year for the 996.1 GT3. Production ended to make way for the updated 996.2 GT3, which introduced refinements to performance, aerodynamics, and interior features. The 996.1 GT3 remained a benchmark for analog driving engagement and track performance.
