Jaguar tasked the engineers within the Special Vehicle Operations division to take their compact sports sedan, the XE, and put their biggest supercharged V8 in it. Sure enough, the fastest production sedan in the world was born. Since the Project 8’s record-setting performance at the Nürburgring, engineers have made improvements to vehicle dynamics and handling. They claim the Project 8 is faster and more agile than ever before.

On August 18, 2018 Jaguar partnered with Motor Trend to try and break the production sedan lap record at Laguna Seca Raceway. Can the Project 8 prove it's the fastest production sedan in the world?
