First track day with my CTR. Before this I owned a GT350 and my best time in that was 1:47. My best time with the CTR today was 1:52. Still learning the limits of the car and if I had another day I feel like I could have taken another second off. Car was fully stock. Tires held up well, ran 37 psi cold. No engine overheating either (67-72 F ambient temps), and I was running it hard and for about 15-20 minutes at a time for about 5-6 runs. Did have a fuel cutoff issue when I got down to 1/4 tank. Lesson learned, don’t let the fuel drop to less than half a tank when tracking. 

Overall very impressed with the car. It feels very balanced on the track, no significant oversteer or understeer. The brakes on these are STRONG, which is limited by the tires. Wish it could have less body roll but that’s a given since it’s a hatch. Also, I got better lap times in Sport mode versus +R mode. 

There was another CTR at the track and he was running fully stock and was running 1:52 lap times as well.

Next time I’m going to hit the track with 18x9.5 Titans and Michelin PS4s and see what it can do.
