So incredibly happy, did not expect to break into the 39s until later this year. 3 months ago on fresh RE71RS I only ran a 1:41.5, thought it would take me a long time to get into the 40s then the 39s. Just tried to be smooth and not make mistakes, the track felt incredible with plenty of grip. Braked way too late into T1 but that carried me deeper into the corner and I was able to get on the power a lot harder, so it worked out.
In previous laps that I had a 1:39 predicted I cooked bus stop and carousel. In this lap I took it easier into those corners knowing if those were smooth and clean I'd be into the 39s. Now I'll work on carrying more speed in those. RaceCapture briefly showed a 1:38 predicted and it's possible.
Can't wait to try the new RE71RZ!
