This lap at Circuit of the Americas was completed in a 2016 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Z51. The car was equipped with Pirelli slicks, Z06 brakes, and LG swaybars. The rear Pirelli tires were on their 14th heat cycle, making the car challenging to handle as the tires faded quickly. The driver noted that a C6 Z06 was significantly faster in the straights but not in the turns.
