Civic Si FC1

Notes

The Honda Civic Si FC1 is the sporty performance variant of the 10th-generation Honda Civic, introduced in 2017 and produced through 2020. Built on the Civic’s FC1 platform (sedan version), the Civic Si features a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four engine that produces 205 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission, offering enthusiasts a more engaging driving experience. The Civic Si’s engine features VTEC technology on the exhaust side, along with a single-scroll turbocharger for improved mid-range torque compared to previous naturally aspirated models.

The Civic Si FC1 is equipped with sport-tuned suspension, including adaptive dampers that allow drivers to switch between comfort and sport modes for different driving conditions. It also has a limited-slip differential, which helps improve traction and handling, especially during spirited driving or cornering. Exterior features include more aggressive styling, such as a distinctive front grille, rear spoiler, center-exit exhaust, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the Si includes sport seats with additional bolstering, red interior accents, and a digital gauge cluster with performance-focused displays.

The Civic Si FC1 is praised for its balance of practicality, fuel efficiency, and sporty performance. It offers accessible power, sharp handling, and a comfortable yet engaging driving experience, making it a popular choice for enthusiasts looking for a fun-to-drive daily driver.

NOTES DE L'ANNéE

2017: The Civic Si was introduced in the 10th-generation Civic lineup with a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four engine producing 205 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Key features included sport-tuned suspension with adaptive dampers, a limited-slip differential, sport seats, red interior accents, and a center-exit exhaust. Exterior styling elements such as a unique front grille, rear spoiler, and 18-inch alloy wheels differentiated the Si from the standard Civic.
2018: The 2018 model year for the Civic Si remained mostly unchanged. Honda made minor software updates to the infotainment system and slight tweaks to improve the overall refinement, but there were no significant mechanical or design changes.
2019: Honda introduced a minor refresh for the Civic Si, which included an updated front bumper with a more aggressive grille design and new LED fog lights. The 2019 model also received a revised final drive ratio, aimed at improving acceleration response, though the engine output remained the same. The infotainment system was updated to include physical volume knobs, addressing previous feedback about touch-only controls.
2020: The Civic Si saw slight adjustments in 2020, with LED headlights now standard and additional driver-assistance features, such as Honda Sensing, becoming standard equipment. Honda Sensing included features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and collision mitigation braking, making the 2020 Si more safety-focused. The model retained the same powertrain and performance specs as previous years. Production for the 10th-gen Civic Si ended in 2020 as Honda prepared for the 11th-generation Civic.
