The Volkswagen Golf R Mk6, produced from 2009 to 2013, is the high-performance variant of the sixth-generation Golf, designed as the flagship of the lineup. It is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine producing 267 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or an optional 6-speed DSG automatic. Power is delivered to all four wheels through Volkswagen's 4Motion all-wheel-drive system, providing excellent traction and stability.
The Mk6 Golf R features a more aggressive design compared to the standard Golf, with a unique front fascia, larger air intakes, bi-xenon headlights, and dual exhaust outlets. Inside, it offers a sporty yet refined cabin with high-quality materials, R-specific badging, and bolstered sport seats.
