Ruapuna Park Club

Ruapuna Park, officially known as the Mike Pero Motorsport Park, is a premier motorsport facility located in Christchurch, New Zealand. Opened in 1963, it has served as a cornerstone of South Island motorsport for over six decades, hosting a wide array of national and international racing events. The complex boasts multiple track configurations, allowing for diverse racing disciplines.

The primary circuit is a 3.33-kilometer (2.07-mile) layout renowned for its fast, flowing corners and challenging technical sections. It features a mix of high-speed straights, sweeping bends, and tight, intricate corners that demand precision and driver skill. The main straight provides ample opportunity for overtaking, leading into the notorious turn one, a long, sweeping right-hander that tests the limits of grip. The circuit also includes a challenging hairpin and several off-camber corners that require careful throttle control and braking.

Ruapuna Park regularly hosts rounds of the New Zealand Touring Car Championship, Formula Ford, and various club-level racing series. The track is also a popular venue for motorcycle racing, including superbike championships and club events.
