2020: Debut of the X3 M Competition with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine producing 503 hp and 600 Nm of torque. Featured adaptive M suspension, M compound brakes, and an M-specific design. Accelerated from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/h, extendable to 285 km/h with the optional M Driver’s Package.
2021: Updated with the iDrive 7.0 infotainment system featuring a 10.25-inch touchscreen. Standardized lane departure warning and blind-spot monitoring.
2022: Mid-cycle facelift included redesigned bumpers, larger kidney grille, and updated LED headlights and taillights. Engine torque increased to 650 Nm. Interior upgraded with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, and improved materials.
2023: Introduced the iDrive 8.0 infotainment system with enhanced graphics and processing. Added adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and improved collision avoidance systems.
2024: Minor engine tuning improved fuel efficiency. New exterior colors, wheel designs, enhanced ambient lighting, and additional interior upholstery options were offered.
