2019: The BMW G20 330i debuted as part of the all-new seventh-generation 3 Series, featuring a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine producing 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the 330i offered rear-wheel drive (330i) or all-wheel drive (330i xDrive). It included advanced driving modes, a stiffer chassis, and an interior redesigned with BMW's updated iDrive system, Apple CarPlay integration, and improved material quality.

2020: The 330i carried over largely unchanged from the 2019 model but added a few optional features. BMW introduced Android Auto compatibility, addressing a key request from Android users. Advanced driver-assistance features such as lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control became more widely available as options, enhancing safety technology for this model year.

2021: In 2021, BMW expanded standard equipment across the 3 Series lineup, including the 330i. Features like digital key functionality, which allows users to unlock and start the car with their smartphone, and SiriusXM radio were added as standard. Minor updates were made to the iDrive system’s functionality, improving response times and interface ease.
