Thermal Club North+Desert
The Thermal Club is an exclusive private community of super-wealthy racing enthusiasts and high-performance car collectors who decided to build luxurious Villas right in the middle of a world-class motorsports complex. The 400-Acre walled village has a private airport, four road course configurations, high-end villas with stunning track views, an engineering center, a tire center, a fueling station, and a temperature-controlled vault to store members' vehicles and keep them ready to hit the asphalt anytime. This dream playground for motorsports fans is 30 minutes south of Palms Springs, in Thermal, California, in the middle of the Coachella Valley, with 350 days of sunshine a year on average.
Tim and Twanna Rogers, owners of the club, hired the famous South African race track architect Alan Wilson to design a top-notch racing complex where drivers can feel they're getting the most out of their sports cars and taking them to the limits keeping them safe at the same time. There are four circuits available for racing at the Thermal Club: the 2-mile (3.21-km) South Palm layout, the 3-mile (4.82-km) Twin Palms layout, the 4-mile (6.43-km) GT Circuit, and the 2.5-mile (4.02-km) North+Desert layout. The track surface is smooth and specially prepared for the scorching temperatures of the desert climate. Racing at any circuit of the Thermal Club is a real challenge for the drivers' abilities as turns, elevation changes, and acceleration sectors feel a lot faster than they are in reality.
The North plus Desert configuration at Thermal Club in California's Coachella Valley combines the North circuit sections with the Desert course to create an extended layout at this exclusive private racing facility. Located near Palm Springs, the North+Desert routing creates one of Thermal Club's longer configuration options serving members seeking comprehensive challenges. This variant demonstrates the facility's modular design where different course sections combine to create varied member experiences.
Operating the North plus Desert showcases Thermal Club's exceptional infrastructure where multiple distinct courses can be combined or run independently. The combination creates extended distance testing member consistency across varied terrain and corner characteristics unique to each section. Coachella Valley's extreme desert heat creates challenging summer conditions with track temperatures exceeding 65C during afternoon sessions, while winter months offer ideal racing weather. The North+Desert configuration enhances the value proposition for members invested in exclusive private track access, providing layout variety without requiring visits to different facilities.
