Monticello Motor Club Notes

The Monticello Motor Club is a private motorsport complex consisting of an exciting-to-drive 4.1-mile (6.6-km) road course, customizable into several separate circuits able to operate independently. It stands at a 90-minutes road trip from New York City, in the heart of the Catskill Mountains, in the village of Monticello, a popular vacation destination for people who love going outdoors for activities like skiing, mountain biking, or hiking in the woodlands. It works in a membership-based scheme, allowing motorsports enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy track time with their vehicles or renting high-performance racecars in the club. Members with a valid competition racing license (or graduated from one of the club's racing schools) can participate in one of the MMC Member Racing Series, according to their vehicle and experience type.

The track surface at the Monticello Motor Club is of top-quality asphalt in all its trajectory, having 450 feet of vertical gain over its undulating terrain. There are 20 turns and 1.5 miles (2.4 km) of straightaways in the counterclockwise Full Course, including hairpins, sweepers, and tight corners reminiscent of famous European race tracks. The 1.9-mile (3.05-km) North Course and the 1.6-mile (2.57-km) South Course are clockwise oriented, with shorter straightaways and curvier layouts that reduce their average speed and elevate their technical difficulty.

South Course CW Notes

The South Course Clockwise configuration at Monticello Motor Club delivers a specific 1.9-mile highly technical trajectory running clockwise at this exclusive New York private racing facility in the Catskills. The South Course shares the starting line with Full Course before diverging through particular southern sections creating distinct characteristics. This configuration serves club members seeking specific technical challenges available through the South routing's corner geometry and elevation features.

Operating the South Course clockwise showcases Monticello Motor Club's modular infrastructure where North and South courses can run independently or combine creating varied member experiences. The South Course's 1.9-mile technical nature rewards precision over power, creating different setup priorities compared to other Monticello configurations. New York's Catskill Mountain location creates seasonal operations primarily April through October avoiding harsh winter conditions. The South Course CW configuration provides specific technical challenge serving the exclusive membership base invested in private track access at this premier New York motorsport club facility.
