Adria International Raceway Notes

The Adria International Raceway is a 1.67-mile (2.68-km) racing venue near the Po river delta, an hour road trip south of Venice, in northern Italy. It is a super-challenging circuit for drivers because of its aggressive layout of tight-angle curves intermingled with fast acceleration straights. The FIA Grade 3 Adria racetrack features a state-of-the-art lighting system that makes it the premier racing venue in Italy for endurance competitions needing track time during the night. High-profile racing events like the Italian Race of the World Touring Car Championship or the NASCAR Wheelen Euro Series use the Adria International Raceway as a staple part of their calendar.

The Adria International Raceway has 17 corners, and its trajectory takes an average lap time of 1:26.6. Racing the track is a constant downshifting, upshifting, and heavy maneuvering to both sides over a smooth track surface. The Po valley area has a semi-continental climate type, with high humidity and consistent rainfall during the year, so the Adria raceway tends to have a wet surface most of the time. There are several multi-apex corners and highly technical turn combinations where unacquainted racers end up hitting the curbs and losing precious racing time. The top-notch facilities at Adria International Raceway and its proximity to the wealthy tourist destinations of Venice is a sure indicator of good motorsport competitions to come soon.
