Unlike the other Video from this event I have a clear track for the entire lap and the little Miata really got into the groove. To be honest the car is more in the groove than I am, in 4 sessions I never really got totally comfortable in the Miata and that shows a bit in this lap. This is my fastest lap of the day and according to the Catalyst it is only 6 seconds or so off my best lap in the 996. I have put quite a few laps on the 996 and am more comfortable with pushing it, with that said I know I can get down to those times in the Miata with a bit more seat time. Nothing fancy on this lap and not really my best line through every turn, as the Optimum comparison on the Catalyst shows I could have done better, but this was my best that day. The car is a 2007 Mazda MX-5 with the steering wheel shifted 6 speed automatic, running MeisterR ClubRace coilovers, Profile Design sway bars with AWR links. Tires are Falken Azenis 615s, brakes are EBC slotted rotors with Hawk HP-S pads and stock calipers.
