The Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, produced from 1999 to 2002, is a legendary high-performance sports car renowned for its advanced technology and exceptional driving dynamics. Powered by the RB26DETT, a 2.6-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine, it produces 276 horsepower and 392 Nm of torque, though actual output is believed to exceed the official figures. Paired with a 6-speed Getrag manual transmission, the R34 features Nissan's ATTESA E-TS Pro all-wheel-drive system and an active limited-slip differential for outstanding traction and cornering capability.
The R34 introduced a refined design with sharper lines, iconic round taillights, and an adjustable rear wing for improved aerodynamics. Its compact dimensions made it more agile than its predecessor, the R33. The interior included a driver-focused layout with an advanced Multi-Function Display (MFD) on the dashboard, providing real-time performance data such as boost pressure and lap timing.
Special variants, including the V-Spec, V-Spec II, M-Spec, and Nür models, featured upgraded suspension, aerodynamics, and lightweight materials. The Nür variants were equipped with an upgraded RB26 engine based on Nissan's racing program. The R34 GT-R has become an icon in car culture, celebrated for its balance of technology, performance, and tuning potential.
