The Fiat 500 Abarth was introduced in 2012 in North America and has been produced in various markets through 2020. This performance-focused variant of the Fiat 500 featured a turbocharged 1.4L MultiAir inline-four engine, producing between 160 hp and 170 hp (varied by market and model year), paired with either a 5-speed manual or, in later years, a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Abarth version included performance upgrades over the standard Fiat 500, such as a sport-tuned suspension, upgraded brakes, and a more aggressive exhaust system.
