The Renault Mégane R26 (2008) represents a limited-edition track-focused variant of the second-generation Mégane RS. The R26 features a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four producing 230 horsepower (169 kW). Power is delivered through a 6-speed manual transmission to the front wheels with limited-slip differential. The R26 includes lightweight components including titanium exhaust, Recaro seats, deleted rear seats, Cup chassis with Sachs dampers, and weighs approximately 2,755 pounds. Performance includes 0-62 mph in 6.0 seconds. The R26 achieved a Nürburgring lap time of 8:17, demonstrating exceptional front-wheel-drive performance.
