Civic Type R FD2

The Honda Civic Type R FD2 is the seventh-generation Civic Type R produced from 2007-2010 exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and European markets (not sold in North America). The FD2 features Honda's legendary K20A 2.0-liter naturally aspirated i-VTEC inline-four engine producing 201 horsepower at 7,800 rpm (Japanese specification) or 225 horsepower at 8,000 rpm (European specification) with 142 lb-ft of torque, paired exclusively with a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission driving the front wheels through a mechanical limited-slip differential.

The FD2 represents a return to sedan body style after the three-door EP3 generation, with the four-door configuration providing better structural rigidity and more practical packaging. Comprehensive performance equipment includes Brembo four-piston front brake calipers, sport-tuned suspension, 18-inch lightweight alloy wheels, aerodynamic body kit with functional cooling ducts, dual exhaust, Recaro sport seats, and red Honda badge and red "H" emblem denoting Type R specification.
