The BMW Z4 E86 3.0si is a two-door roadster introduced at the New York Auto Show in April 2006, built around the concept of a "pocket Grand Tourer" by the BMW Motorsports design team led by Chris Bangle. The Z4 is more aggressive than its predecessors, with a much stiffer chassis and lighter build materials that allow this coupe to improve its racing performance. Presented in a Rear-Wheel-Drive layout, the Z4 has a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission with shift paddles mounted on the steering column, all accompanied by the 3.0si six-cylinder inline naturally-aspirated engine (265PS – 315NM) that can take this car from 0-62 MPH in just 5.2 seconds with a maximum speed of 155MPH.
The BMW Z4 E86 3.0si includes an aluminum hood, an independent McPherson coil springs anti-roll bar front suspension, and coil springs transverse arms suspension rear system. It comes with 225/45 R17 tires on the front and 225/47 R17 on the back, with a vented discs braking system on all 4-wheels. Its rated fuel consumption is 8.9 liters/100 Km.
