Autodromo Internacional De Codegua Notes

The Autodromo Internacional de Codegua is a 10-turn, 1.5-mile (2.25-km) road course located at an hour road trip to the south of Santiago, Chile. Its smooth asphalt surface is optimal for auto racing and motorcycling, serving as the venue for international, national, and local racing events, track days, and club gatherings. The Superbike TC 2000 and the Superbike World Championship are the main events using the Codegua race track in their regular calendar. The climate at the circuit location is the Mediterranean, with a pleasant temperature to enjoy outdoor activities year-round.

The Autodromo Internacional de Codegua runs counterclockwise, starting from the middle of its front straight. The first turn is a left-hander combined with a tighter corner number two and another sweeper to the left in turn three. Turns four, five, and six alternate directions with slight bends in their routes until reaching turn seven, a 90-degree corner. Turn eight is the symmetrical opposite of the previous one and leads into a long left-hand corner combination spanning curves nine and ten. After this final corner, racers get to top speed once again to try to be the first to pass the finish line and take the victory.
