Kakucsring Notes

Kakucsring is a compact, technical motorsport circuit in Kakucs, Hungary, roughly 40 km southeast of Budapest. Originally developed as a karting facility, it has grown into a popular permanent venue for car and motorcycle track days, time attack, sprint racing and drifting.

At around 1 km it is short, narrow and tight, stringing together a sequence of slow- and medium-speed corners with only brief straights. The layout rewards precision and smooth inputs far more than outright horsepower, with an overall average speed near 74 km/h and quick laps typically in the low-to-mid 40-second range — which makes it a favourite for driver training and grassroots motorsport.

The circuit is run in both directions, as a clockwise (CW) and a counter-clockwise (CCW) configuration that are timed separately and feel like distinct tracks. It operates seasonally from spring through autumn and is widely used by Hungarian and Central European clubs for affordable, high-frequency track time.
