La Porsche 718 Cayman GTS 2.5, prodotta tra il 2018 e il 2020, è una variante ad alte prestazioni della 718 Cayman, che offre dinamiche migliorate e uno stile sportivo. È spinta da un motore boxer turbo da 2,5 litri, capace di erogare 365 cavalli e 317 lb-ft di coppia (o 309 lb-ft con cambio manuale), permettendo uno scatto da 0 a 60 mph in appena 3,9 secondi con il cambio PDK opzionale.
La versione GTS include aggiornamenti orientati alla sportività come il pacchetto Sport Chrono, il Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) e un’altezza da terra ridotta di 10 mm di serie. È dotata di freni maggiorati, differenziale a slittamento limitato con torque vectoring e una taratura più sportiva per una guida precisa e controllata.
Gli interventi estetici comprendono elementi di design oscurati, distintivi GTS unici, fari e fanali posteriori oscurati e cerchi da 20 pollici. 2019: Minor updates included new optional features such as Apple CarPlay compatibility and additional paint and interior color options. No changes to engine or performance specifications.
2020: Final production year for the 718 Cayman GTS 2.5, with the model carried over unchanged as Porsche transitioned to the naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine in the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 for 2021.
