2013: Alfa Romeo 4C debuts as a lightweight, mid-engine sports car with a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis. It is powered by a 1.75L turbocharged inline-four engine producing 240 hp, paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.
2014: Global production begins, with the 4C launching in key markets, including the U.S., as a coupe-only model. Standard features include a race-inspired interior and advanced traction control systems.
2015: Introduction of the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, featuring a removable soft-top roof and minor weight increases. Updates to the coupe include new optional wheel designs and color choices.
2016: Enhanced interior options, including leather trim and carbon-fiber accents, are introduced. Suspension tweaks improve ride quality, and new exterior colors expand customization options.
