Note
La Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 7, prodotta dal 2001 al 2003, ha introdotto significativi miglioramenti rispetto alla sua predecessora, la Evo VI. Costruita sulla piattaforma CT9A, più grande e rigida, ha migliorato la tenuta di strada e la stabilità mantenendo il motore turbo 2.0 litri 4G63. Un differenziale centrale attivo (ACD) di nuova concezione e un sistema Super Active Yaw Control (S-AYC) più avanzato hanno aumentato trazione e capacità di curva. La Evo VII presentava inoltre un’aerodinamica rivista, un frontale più aggressivo e un alettone posteriore funzionale per una maggiore deportanza. Gli interni sono stati aggiornati con sedili sportivi Recaro e una plancia dal design più moderno. Pur essendo leggermente più pesante della Evo VI, la tecnologia aggiunta l’ha resa una vettura dalle prestazioni superiori, preparando il terreno per i futuri modelli Evolution.
