Lancer Evolution VI GSR

Notas

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR is a four-door, all-wheel-drive development of the acclaimed Evo VI series assembled at the Nagoya plant in Okazaki, Japan, from 1999 to 2001. This Grand Sport Racing model features a 2.0L (1,997 ccs) 4G63 inline-four turbocharged engine delivering a maximum output power of 280 PS (276 HP) and 373 Nm of torque. Its 5-speed manual gearbox boosts this car from 0-60 MPH in 4.40 seconds, accelerating to a top speed of over 150 MPH. This iteration brings several enhancements, such as the Recaro front bucket and rear seat, the power windows, and the double-DIN audio, to make the driving experience even better than before.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR received a bigger intercooler and a more efficient oil cooler than previous versions. The car's outstanding performance on the pavement is the responsibility of the McPherson struts and multi-link suspension on both axles, along with 225/45/R17 tires on all 4-wheels using the Brembo brakes with Anti-Lock-Braking system. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR holds a current market value of around $16,978, a steal for such a perfectly crafted machine. It epitomizes the looks, the speed, and the performance that made Mitsubishi a top challenger in the speed world.

NOTAS DEL AñO

1999: The Evolution VI GSR debuted with a 2.0L turbocharged inline-four engine (4G63T), producing around 276 hp and 274 lb-ft of torque. The cooling system was improved with a larger intercooler and updated oil cooler, addressing the demands of rally racing. The model featured lightweight components, a revised front bumper with larger openings for better airflow, and a new rear wing design for increased downforce. The GSR trim offered amenities like active yaw control (AYC) and sport-tuned suspension for improved cornering stability.
2000: Mitsubishi introduced the Tommi Mäkinen Edition (TME) to commemorate their rally success with driver Tommi Mäkinen. The TME featured a quicker steering ratio, lower ride height, and unique styling touches like special badging, a redesigned front bumper, and unique wheels. Power output remained the same, but the car’s handling was further optimized, and Recaro seats were added to the interior for a sportier feel. This edition also included special exterior colors, including a signature red with white graphics.
2001: The final year of the Evolution VI GSR saw minimal changes as Mitsubishi prepared to transition to the Evolution VII. The Tommi Mäkinen Edition continued to be available with its performance and design upgrades, while standard GSR models retained their performance specs.
