New York Safety Track NYST

The New York Safety Track (NYST) is a motorsports facility located on a 3-1/2 hour ride of New York City in the small rural town of Jefferson, New York. Members can drive their vehicles on open track days, rent Kawasaki Ninja 400 motorcycles to hit the asphalt on a full-day experience, and even land their planes or helicopters in the complex if they need to. The NYST operates on a membership-based program that helps motorsports enthusiasts develop all the necessary skills the drive high-performance cars and motorcycles in a competitive yet secure way. The 2.2-mile (3.5-km) raceway has 18 turns with an impressive elevation change of 450 ft.

The NYST layout goes up and down seven individual hills, featuring blind corners, on-camber turns, off-camber turns, high banking sectors, and several stretches optimized for top speed. The Start/Finish line is at the middle of the front straightaway, with heavy braking zones before entering and exiting the straight. The turns one to seven are highly technical, going downhill and restricting driver's visibility in several sectors. Turns 8 to 12 are fast-paced sweepers that pose a challenge of maneuverability as inexperienced drivers might lose control and hit the curbs. Corners from 12 to 18 continue going downhill with varying inclinations to the sides, leading drivers into the main straightaway, where they start going up once again to close the loop.
