全く新しいLT1 6.2L V8はZ51パフォーマンスエグゾーストで6,000rpmで460馬力、4,600rpmで630Nmを発生。第5世代モーターは直噴、シリンダー休止、可変バルブタイミングを備えながら伝統的なプッシュロッド構造を維持。トナワンダ工場製造LT1:0-100km/h 3.9秒、1/4マイル 12.2秒 @ 190km/h、最高速度291km/h。車重1,496kg。
