R8 V10 Mk1
Notes
The Audi R8 V10 Type 42 was the first generation of the Audi R8 with a V10 engine, produced from 2009 to 2015. Based on Audi’s mid-engine platform, this model was initially powered by a 5.2L naturally aspirated V10 engine, producing 525 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque, borrowed from the Lamborghini Gallardo. It was available with Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive system, a 6-speed gated manual transmission, or the optional R-Tronic automated manual transmission. The V10 provided a significant performance boost over the V8 version, reaching 0-60 mph in around 3.7 seconds and offering a top speed of approximately 196 mph.

YEAR NOTES
2013: The R8 V10 received a facelift, which included aesthetic updates such as revised LED headlights and taillights, a new grille design, and a reworked rear diffuser. The R-Tronic transmission was replaced with a 7-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch transmission, offering quicker and smoother shifts. Audi also introduced the R8 V10 Plus model in this update, featuring weight reductions, 550 hp, and further enhanced handling, making it the most powerful and track-focused R8 in the Type 42 lineup. This generation of the R8 is celebrated for its naturally aspirated V10 engine, engaging driving experience, and striking design, setting a strong foundation for Audi’s supercar legacy.
