Der Ford Mustang GT Track Pack repräsentiert ein werkseitig entwickeltes Leistungssteigerungspaket, das für das Modelljahr 2010 und den Produktionszeitraum 2013-2014 angeboten wurde und den Standard-S197-GT durch umfassende Fahrwerks-, Brems-, Kühl- und Antriebsstrang-Upgrades zum Preis von etwa $1.495 in eine streckentaugliche Plattform transformierte, was ein außergewöhnliches Wertangebot für Grassroots-Motorsport-Teilnehmer darstellt. Der 5.0-Liter-Coyote-DOHC-V8 produziert 420 PS bei 6.500 U/min mit 390 Pfund-Fuß Drehmoment bei 4.250 U/min. Die Track Pack Fahrwerksmodifikationen transformierten die Handling-Charakteristiken durch GT500-Front- und Heck-Stabilisatoren, die wesentlich dicker als die Basis-GT-Spezifikation sind, umventilierte Dämpfer mit festerer Kompression und Rebound. Die Produktion endete 2014 mit dem Mustang S550 der sechsten Generation, der einen überarbeiteten Track Pack einführte und die Leistungsphilosophie fortsetzte, während S197 Track Pack Exemplare eine engagierte Anhängerschaft unter Amateur-Rennserien-Teilnehmern unterhalten, die zugängliche amerikanische V8-Leistung schätzen.

2010: Track Pack introduced at $1,495 featuring GT500 stabilizer bars, retuned dampers, 3.73:1 limited-slip differential with carbon friction plates, 19x8.5 wheels with 255/40R19 Pirelli P Zero summer tires, Bullitt-spec brake pads, and recalibrated stability control. Manual transmission required.
2011: Track Pack discontinued. Only Brembo Brake Package available featuring 14-inch rotors with four-piston calipers, 19-inch wheels with summer tires, upgraded stability control tuning. 3.73 gears available as separate option. Manual or automatic transmission.
2012: Brembo Brake Package continued without changes. Track Pack remained unavailable. Focus shifted to Boss 302 and Shelby GT500 variants for track-oriented customers seeking factory performance solutions.
2013: Track Pack returned with major upgrades: Brembo four-piston calipers with 14-inch vented rotors, Torsen helical differential with 3.73:1 ratio, Boss 302 engine oil cooler and radiator, GT500 trailing arms and bushings, specially-calibrated suspension. 5W-50 oil required. Manual coupe only.
2014: Final S197 production year maintaining 2013 Track Pack specification. No spare tire included due to Torsen differential packaging. Track Pack legacy continued into S550 generation maintaining Ford Performance's commitment to accessible track capability.
