Под его капотом находится 4,0-литровый атмосферный двигатель с непосредственным впрыском топлива мощностью 500 л.с., который развивает мощность 367,8 кВт при 8250 об/мин (493 л.с.) и крутящий момент 460 Нм. Этот двигатель работает в паре с собственной 7-скоростной коробкой передач Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) с двойным сцеплением на заднем приводе и позволяет Porsche достигать максимальной скорости 199 миль в час и разгоняться от 0 до 62 миль в час всего за 3,4 секунды.
