NOTAS DO ANO
The VA WRX was introduced with the new 2.0L FA20F turbocharged flat-four engine, producing 268 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The new engine featured direct injection, increasing efficiency and responsiveness. The model included a 6-speed manual transmission or a Sport Lineartronic CVT with paddle shifters (with the CVT offering Subaru’s SI-Drive drive mode selector). Subaru focused on improving handling with a stiffer chassis, revised suspension, and new torque-vectoring technology, enhancing cornering ability.
Subaru made minor updates, including additional sound insulation for reduced cabin noise and slight interior refinements. The infotainment system received minor upgrades, and Subaru introduced the EyeSight safety system on CVT-equipped models, adding driver-assistance features like adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, and lane departure warning.
The WRX received a facelift with a redesigned front grille, bumper, and LED headlights, giving it a more aggressive appearance. Subaru updated the suspension tuning for improved ride quality and handling. The clutch in the manual transmission model was revised for smoother engagement, and the interior saw upgrades with higher-quality materials, enhanced sound insulation, and a larger standard infotainment screen (6.5-inch or 7-inch). The Premium and Limited trims gained heated side mirrors, and Recaro seats became available as an option.
Subaru introduced the Series.Gray limited edition, which featured exclusive Cool Gray Khaki paint, black alloy wheels, a sport-tuned suspension, and unique styling elements. The WRX lineup saw minor adjustments to feature availability, including making the EyeSight safety suite standard on WRX models equipped with the CVT.
Minor changes were made, including additional standard equipment on higher trims, such as keyless entry and push-button start. The WRX STI model received performance enhancements, but the standard WRX remained largely the same.
The WRX VA continued with no major updates, as Subaru prepared to release the next-generation WRX. This final model year offered slight adjustments in trim features, but the performance and styling remained consistent.
