The Ariel Atom Spec:Race Atom (SRA) is a track-oriented version of the Ariel Atom, designed specifically for competitive racing and high-performance driving. Built by TMI AutoTech at Virginia International Raceway, it is based on the Ariel Atom 3 platform, with enhancements tailored for track reliability and safety. Powered by a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter Honda K24 i-VTEC engine producing 230 horsepower, it features a 6-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential. The lightweight tubular steel chassis is reinforced with additional roll bars and bracing, meeting racing standards while ensuring exceptional handling.

The SRA is equipped with racing-specific components, including Kirkey aluminum seats, six-point harnesses, adjustable suspension, and a Race Technology digital dashboard. Hoosier racing tires and 15-inch wheels provide optimal grip, while a fire extinguisher and other safety features prioritize driver protection. Developed for the VIR Cup racing series, the SRA offers a cost-effective and durable platform for racers, delivering a thrilling and precise driving experience on the track.

2011: In the 2011 model year, the SRA was launched to support the VIR Cup racing series, providing a cost-effective platform for both novice and experienced drivers. It was equipped with a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter Honda K24 i-VTEC engine producing approximately 230 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission featuring a limited-slip differential. The car was built on the Atom 3 chassis with additional roll bar structures and bracing to meet racing standards.
2013: In the 2013 model year, the SRA received updates to its suspension and handling with the introduction of adjustable dampers and a custom steering rack for improved driver feedback. The interior was upgraded with Kirkey aluminum racing seats and six-point harnesses to enhance driver safety and comfort.
2015: By the 2015 model year, aerodynamic enhancements were added, including front and rear wings to improve downforce and stability at high speeds. The Race Technology digital dashboard was also upgraded to provide comprehensive data acquisition and telemetry capabilities for drivers and teams.
