Datsun 240Z
Notes
The Nissan Datsun 240Z, the first generation of ZGT, is an all-time favorite 3-door, rear-wheel-drive front-engine Japanese racer designed by Yoshihiko Matsuo. This classic sporting car was produced from 1970 to 1973 and pioneered a four-wheel independent suspension with McPherson/Chapman struts and a standard braking system. The Datsun packs a 2.4L L24 inline-6 OHC engine, paired to a manual gearbox of four or five shifts or a three-speed automatic transmission. The top speed is around 125 Mph, and the acceleration from 0 to 60 Mph takes 8 seconds flat. Its typical fuel consumption is around 11l/100Km, meaning the maintenance costs of this Nissan Datsun 240Z were relatively low compared to other similar sportscars in the seventies.
This sleek, elegant, iconic roadster is a prizefighter for collectors within the automotive industry niche. The recognizable circular headlights come inside a unique protruded front bumper that perfectly fits its sports design language. The exterior sides of the car have flowing lines and B-pillars, with a short rear that completes its aggressive body shape. The Dunlop PW72 175/70/R14 tires are the standard setup on the Nissan Datsun 240Z, which comes with a traditional rack and pinion steering type, providing the necessary grip and handling that keeps this car relevant today. An original, well-kept Nissan Datsun 240Z can rise to an incredible market value of $60,000 nowadays as the sought-after and rare collector champion it is.
