The Ligier JS P3 is a Le Mans Prototype 3 (LMP3) race car designed and manufactured by French constructor Ligier, part of Onroak Automotive. Introduced in 2015, the JS P3 was developed to meet ACO/FIA LMP3 regulations, serving as an entry-level prototype in endurance racing. It features a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque chassis, delivering high levels of safety and rigidity. Powered by a Nissan VK50 5.0L V8 engine producing around 420 horsepower, it offers a balance of power and reliability. The aerodynamic design includes a prominent rear wing and aggressive front splitter, ensuring competitive downforce levels. The car is equipped with a six-speed sequential gearbox, double-wishbone suspension, and advanced braking systems for precise handling. Widely used in championships like the European Le Mans Series and Asian Le Mans Series, the JS P3 has been praised for its performance, cost-efficiency, and ease of maintenance, making it popular among teams and drivers transitioning to higher levels of prototype racing.
