The Renault Clio II RS 182 represents a refreshed and improved version of the classic Clio 2 with additional innovative features like cruise control and an Electronic Stability Program. The design of this two-door/ front-engine/ front-wheel drive Sports compact is a work of Patrick Le Quement for assembly in Flins, France. The 2004-2005 model runs with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 2.0L 16V inline-4 petrol engine. Its overall simplicity hides an impressive performance. This compact can go from 0-602 Mph in 6.6 seconds and reach a 138 Mph top speed, outstanding numbers considering its market price of only 1,160 € that make it a go-to option in the low-budget niche.
The Clio II RS 182 represents the perfect real-world petrolhead hot hatch in most ways. This RS variation includes a revised interior featuring white dots on Alcantara seats, a new CD stereo system, and a renewed steering wheel. The car features a new 8-spoke wheel design with Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 245/45/R16 tire setup, supported by a McPherson strut, torsion beam suspension type, and vented/solid discs brake system. The fuel management translates into 383 miles per 50L tank. It is fast, simplistic, fun, addictively interactive, and cheap to maintain: a little gem from France that keeps making Renault enthusiasts and fanboys happy.
